When God’s Will and the Devil’s Actions Align
There are some conversations that don’t just stretch your mind, they almost offend your logic before they settle into revelation. Today’s write-up is one of those.
We’re stepping into a tension that has quietly existed since the beginning of time: the seeming collaboration between the will of God and the actions of the devil.
Yes… you read that right.
Because if you study biblical history closely, something almost uncomfortable begins to show up. The devil schemes, plots, executes but somehow, the outcome keeps aligning with God’s will. Almost as though he’s doing the dirty work… but the final credit still goes to God.
Now before that sounds like theological chaos, hold two thoughts with me.
The first is a concept shared by futurists and deep thinkers: that the will of God is so absolute, so sovereign, that even rebellion cannot escape it. Almost like it’s hardcoded like a virus embedded into opposition itself. Meaning the devil, in all his attempts to resist God, cannot help but move the agenda of God forward.
Sit with that for a second.
The second thought builds on the first, the law of power.
Power dynamics suggest that whoever disrupts order must, whether willingly or not, contribute to its restoration. History shows this pattern repeatedly. Wars don’t just destroy they set the stage for new systems. Chaos doesn’t just scatter it reorganizes.
From that premise, we begin to understand that the continued presence of the devil on earth is not an oversight on the side of God, but a necessary requirement for the restoration of earth and the actualization of God’s will.
To hit the nail on the head, we’ll examine one of the biggest events and most crucial pieces of the Judeo-Christian worldview the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We just celebrated Easter the resurrection. But pause and rewind the story. Who actually carried out the event that secured salvation?
Was it the disciples who tried to prevent it… or the Pharisees and Roman soldiers who enforced it?
Which of these two categories of people were “pro-christ”?
If we’re being honest and this is where it gets uncomfortable, it was the latter.
The Pharisees, in all their resistance, were smack dab in the will of God, organizing our salvation. Glory to God.
For me, this is the highlight of any scriptural event, “had they known, they would not have crucified the King of Glory.”
When it looks like the devil is gaining ground, God is just waiting for him to finish so He can say, “I’ve finished as well.”
Now let’s bring it home.
Nothing can be done against the truth but for the truth.
All things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose.
My faves, the devil is just a tool orchestrating the will of God. Every single action he takes ultimately draws you closer to God’s will, as we stay plugged into God’s will per time. As we constructively interfere with God’s frequency, we attain a state of existence that forces the devil to become a tool in our hands.
Listen, there is a reason the table is prepared for us in the presence of our enemies, not the presence of the brethren. We’ll need to be able to mentor evil at a level of growth. Darkness must find inspiration in the light we carry.
Know ye not that ye are gods?
Closing out, As you stay aligned, always remember to live in the reality that nothing can be done against you but for you.
Shine. Advance. Occupy.
